WELCOME to Oliver's Nursery Tour!
_________________________________________________________________
The famous black wall. I wanted something different and unique. My goal for this nursery was modern, sleek, and simple. I went with a black center wall with white lettering. Oliver's name and a quote is front and center...
Oliver's crib. The whole room design came from the bedding. I had found the crib bedding online and decided I was going to take a chance and do the nursery in black, red, white, and gray. This was even before we knew Oliver was a boy. So I waited patiently to design the room depending on the sex, but these colors were decided from the beginning. I also wanted a saying above his crib so I went with "Dreams are the windows to the world". (Notice the red phone booths on the armoire - to be discussed later in post.)
A fitting quote for a sleeping baby...
This view is to the right of the center wall.
Oliver's name in black and white photos. Definitely a form of art that he can always have, even as a adult. Once again, I wanted something modern and simple.
A London sign that I found and thought it would fit in perfectly with his room. On the armoire are two red London phone booth models. The phone booths were my second purchase for the nursery behind the crib bedding. I know, I know, I am obsessed with London therefore it became my idea for the nursery. But hey, every good design comes from a great idea!
The wall opposite the center wall. This is the changing table, but we are still using the pad in Collin's room, so for now, it does not have a pad shown. The two red buckets will hold diapers, wipes, desitin, lotion, and baby powder.
I found these really cute vinyl frames online. The frames are holding black and white pictures of Adam, Collin, and myself. Once Oliver arrives, I will change some of the pictures out to include him as well.
Another view of changing area.
Close-up of red buckets.
We already had a queen bed in the room before it became a nursery. Let's admit, he will only be in the crib for 2 years, so this will become his bed in the future. In Collin's room, we had a twin and it really helped on those nights Collin was sick and either Adam or myself needed to sleep in his room to listen and watch him. Same idea is being used for Oliver's room. Thanks for visiting...

Okay, now that room is AWESOME!! I would love to have that for my 14 yr old! It's so cool.
You mentioned the "Famous Black Wall". Have other people tried a black accent wall? I'm trying to track down some pictures of other black walls and what people have done with them. Can you point me in the right direction? They might end up on TV....

I LOVE your striped walls. We are doing my son's room in crimson, black and white houndstooth. I love the idea of the stipe, was it hard? I ask because my husband hates to paint, LOL!
Did you used to be Stacy Weidenroth?
